Micro-nostalgia is a two-channel real time algorithmic video installation. In Micro-nostalgia the characters are devoted to revive a series of unforgotten gestures an Argentinean woman produced during 5 minutes of a conversation in March 2010. These characters inhabit a universe of 9000 fractions of a second, constantly rethinking them in a dissimilar way. For the characters present is a space to rearrange their unforgettable episode.

Micro-nostalgia is constituted by a video stock containing the 5 minutes sequence of gestures interpreted by three different persons. This stock is continuously being edited in real time and the algorithmic decisions that determine the way in which it’s edited are influenced by what is currently happening on a nearby street. The street can be seen through a projected window in the installation space. Aspects such as how much time has past without too much movement, towards which direction is the majority moving, how sunny or how gray the day is, affect the way of rethinking the unforgotten episode, modify the chronological order and emphasis of the events and micro events, the cadence and speed, the frame and election of characters that revive the conversation.
