Double-checking

In late June an elderly male survived for one hour before dying on the floor of his terrace. Droopingly seated and with his 90-year-old head immersed in a pool of blood he perplexed the gaze of the passers by. This man had successfully executed an exceptional suicide by two gunshots from different firearms, grasped in mirrored hand positions and contact fired simultaneously. With a pair of old Berettas caliber 6.35 shot at each temple, the man had achieved a morte sincrona.

His head now has two symmetrical channels that cross the same destroyed area of his brain. These channels have a dime size blackened by powder entrance surrounded with an abrasion ring. Their exits are blocked: each by its own creation bullet trapped between skull and scalp on opposite sides of the head.
